Small Group Jewish Learning!
Tauber Kevah Program 2013-2014/5774
The Tauber Kevah Program - Jewish Learning When and Where You Want It!
Due to a generous grant from the Tauber Foundation, Congregation Emanu-El and Kevah, an organization dedicated towards informal affinity group based learning, have partnered together to offer the Tauber Kevah Small Group Learning program for free as a benefit of your membership.
Here's how it works: You choose the time, location and topic and we will provide a high caliber Jewish educator to lead up to eight sessions for your small group in 2013 - 2014. Learning can begin as early as September if you sign up now.
To reserve your group’s space on the Tauber Kevah Small Group Learning roster for 2013 – 2014 please contact Emanu-El’s Adult Education Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or 415-751-2541 ext 162. If you have been a Tauber Kevah Group Organizer in 2012 - 2013 and want to organize a group for 2013 - 2014 or if you want to organize a new Tauber Kevah Learning Group for 2013 – 2014 please let us know now!
How Does Small Group Learning Work?
Each Tauber Kevah group consists of an organizer and participants.
The organizer invites potential participants to the group and acts as the primary contact between the group and Kevah’s Group Program Director, Lea Policoff email@example.com. Lea guides the organizer from the initial stages of setting up the group to the last learning session. The organizer confirms the schedule and location of meetings and disseminates information to the rest of the group. Groups meet in a participant’s home or place of business and may choose to rotate locations.
Participants can be a group of friends, parents of children who go to the same school, people who work together, classmates in an adult education class, or…! the possibilities are endless!
Tauber Kevah groups are limited to 8 – 15 participants. Non-Congregation Emanu-El members may participate, but as this program is offered as a benefit of membership, non-member participation is limited to two individuals per group.
In all, we are lowering the barrier to entry to adult Jewish education. Please join the already 100 plus participants learning in Tauber Kevah Groups since 2012!
