Temple Emanu-El's goal is to provide our members with a team of people dedicated to support your spiritual, educational and family needs. Our clergy and staff are some of the best in all of Reform Judaism.
Our Senior Staff consists of five Rabbis, a Cantor, the Emanu-El Scholar and an Executive Director. The clergy are available to officiate at life cycle events, give pastoral care and counseling support to members with difficult life circumstances such as illness or death. The Executive Director oversees all the daily operations of the congregation including membership services, building and maintenance, programs, and the business and accounting office. We also have a full Membership Services and Support Staff who work together to serve our members.
The Temple has a Membership Services department, which is the main liaison between the members and the congregation. This department is headed by our Director of Membership Services, Terry Kraus. She is assisted by the Director of Membership Programs, Frana Price, who creates small group experiences such as Havdalah in the Neighborhood, Women of Wisdom (WOW), Havurot, Boomers+ Bunch, and the Emanu-Electives; by the Director of Young Adult Programs, Mollie Schneider; and by Family Programs Coordinator Leslie Ticktin.
In addition, Svetlana Leykin, the Director of Facilities and Special Events along with the Senior Rabbi's Administrative Assistant, Michael Curtis assist with the scheduling and planning of celebrations and receptions, weddings, funerals and other life cycle events. Director of Special Projects, Judi Leff, works on major Temple publications, concerts, lectures, movie programs and building projects.
The Board of Directors consists of between 15-18 members and is elected from our membership. The Board Members serve two three year terms and 3-4 Board Members rotate off and on the Board each year. The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall governance of the congregation. The Board works closely with the membership and staff to set direction, policies and procedures long term planning for the congregation.
