The Annual Giving Campaign helps us close the gap between income raised from membership dues and other fees and the temple's actual operating costs.  It is critical in helping us provide a variety of worship opportunities, Jewish education for all age groups, and innovative community, cultural, and social justice programs. Your contribution to the Annual Giving Campaign allows Congregation Emanu-El to respond to the needs of our members while preserving our leadership in the greater Jewish and Bay Area communities.

Our 2010 Annual Campaign is under way and continues through the end of our fiscal year, June 30 of, 2010. Please give as generously as you can.

TAX INCENTIVES

A gift to Congregation Emanu-El may entitle you to a charitable contribution deduction against your income tax if you itemize deductions. A contribution made by cash or check is deductible in the year in which it is paid. A credit card contribution is deductible in the year it is charged, even if payment is made in a later year.

ANOTHER WAY TO DONATE
TRANSFERS OF STOCK

There are tax advantages to making a gift to Congregation Emanu-El through a transfer of stock. You'll enjoy an immediate tax deduction for the value of the stock transfer, and avoid paying capital gains. You may also reduce your taxable estate by donating stock. HOW CAN YOU MAXIMIZE YOUR CONTRIBUTION?
CORPORATE GIFT MATCHING

Does your employer match employee charitable contributions? Many Bay Area companies will match charitable donations dollar-for-dollar. Contact your company's matching gifts coordinator to determine whether your donation to Congregation Emanu-El is eligible to be matched.
