At 9:15 am every Shabbat morning, highlights from the week's Torah
portion are read and discussed in Room 56. Each month an Emanu-El Rabbi will lead Torah Study. Commentary from rabbinic sages of the past and present are interspersed with our own life experience and insights. Readings and discussion are in English. Beginners are welcome!

HAFTARAH : MIDRASH RABBA (IN HEBREW WITH THE DOTS)

Vocalised Hebrew. English translation available (but only after each session.) Midrash Rabba is the largest and most well-known of all the midrashic collections. Written and assembled over several centuries, the Rabbot do midrash on the Five Books of the Torah and the five scrolls (Esther, Songs, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes, and Ruth).
Meets as part of the Shabbat morning Kolel on the 5th floor,
9:15 - 10:15am. This is a drop-in, on-going seminar.
