Madrichim is a year-long teacher-training program on Sunday mornings that will lead to the opportunity to become a member of our Youth and Family Education teaching staff.
Madrichim is open to students in 8th grade and above.
Explore what makes good teaching; child development and age-appropriate activities; lesson planning; teaching Hebrew; learning styles and teaching techniques, classroom management.
Meet with the art, drama and music specialists to learn how to assist and teach these areas.
Encounter guest speakers on Israel, the Holocaust, and Jewish curriculum resources.
Observe teachers and students and discuss their observations with each other and their Madrichim teachers.
Design and Teach two lessons.
