GRADE 12 - RECEIVING THE RABBIS HONOR CUP
Our 12th grade students are preparing for college and adult Jewish life. We want to provide them with useful tools as they maneuver their way in the broader world.
The 12th grade classes will be made up of seminar style lessons introducing them to Hillel on college campuses, liturgy and reflections on being a Jew in America. Rabbi Sydney Mintz will teach these core seminars. Our graduating seniors also have an opportunity to engage in guided exploration of a theme or topic of their choice, culminating in a final senior project. This senior project will be presented or displayed at the Graduation Ceremony in the spring.
Grade 12 meets once a month (first Sunday of the month).
Over President’s Weekend the seniors are given a three-day retreat at Westerbeke Ranch in Sonoma. A Parent Teen Parallel Program takes place in the spring.
The year concludes with a Family Education Siyyum (concluding) Luncheon.
