The Jean Hartman Music Fund was established in 1998 and the first concert featured internationally acclaimed pianist Gilead Mishory in recital, with guest Cantor Roslyn Barak.
In 1999, violinist Zina Schiff and pianist Marc Shapiro performed music by various Jewish composers, including Lazare Saminsky and Paul Ben -Haim.
Renowned tenor Paul Sperry and Cantor Roslyn Barak presented "An Afternoon of Songs and Duets" for the 2000 Hartman Concert.
Mrs. Hartman passed away in 2001 and the Memorial Tribute Concert featured the Chamber Singers of San Francisco State University.
