MUSEUM COMMITTEE
The volunteer committee of the Elizabeth S. and Alvin I. Fine Museum of Congregation Emanu-El meets monthly and is responsible for selecting exhibits of: works of Jewish artists; art and objects of Jewish content; and art and objects from the Congregation's permanent collection. They are responsible for curating the exhibits and working with the artists. They are responsible for the care and preservation of the permanent collection as well as the archival collection. Until recently this work was done entirely by the 22 active members. Recently they have a part-time archivist who is getting the archives catalogued and preserved. We are affiliated with the Council of American Jewish Museums, a branch of the National Foundation for Jewish Culture.

FLORAL COMMITTEE
The Floral Committee selects and creates floral arrangements each week for
services in both Sanctuaries.

THE EMANU-EL DOCENTS
The Emanu-El Docents are temple members who volunteer to give tours of the sanctuaries and the building to visitors that come to the temple. The docents are trained to disseminate information about the history of the congregation, the details of the sanctuaries and the current museum exhibits. Docent tours are provided Tuesday through Thursday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm; time required for docents is two hours per month. Serving as an Emanu-El docent enables our members to meet and talk with people from all over the world, as well as making a contribution to the congregation.
To volunteer, contact Frana Price at fprice@emanuelsf.org or (415)751-2541 x 151.

DOCENTS NEEDED TO OFFER TEMPLE TOURS
Temple Emanu-El is featured on several tourist websites as a San Francisco attraction to see. Wouldn't you enjoy showing visitors our magnificent synagogue? Then, how about becoming a docent? We'll train you and provide materials, and you'll meet fascinating people from all over the world, eager to learn about Congregation Emanu-El. Sounds great, right? All we need is from 1:00 to 3:00 pm once a month.
