There Will Be No Cobb Pantry this Summer!

Roosevelt Middle School Healthy Children Pantry -
Opening on Monday, August 23, 2010!

Congregation Emanu-El created the Roosevelt Middle School Healthy Children Pantry, located at 460 Arguello Boulevard (at Geary). This pantry provides free supplemental groceries to 74% of the 750 students. This is a true partnership with our Richmond District neighbor as we create community service opportunities for the middle school students as well as focus on health and nutritional eating through cooking classes based on the pantry's produce each week!


The Roosevelt Middle School Healthy Children’s Pantry NEEDS YOU!!

Pantry volunteers are requested to arrive at 2:30 pm on Mondays to help set up the food received from the San Francisco Food Bank and then help with distribution to shoppers from 3:30 – 5:30 pm. We need four volunteers each week. This is a great opportunity for middle school and high school students looking for a fun, sociable environment in which to do a bit of community service.
