COBB SCHOOL HEALTHY CHILDREN PANTRY

The Dr. William L. Cobb School Healthy Children Pantry, located at 2725 California Street (at Divisadero), provides free supplemental groceries to over 75 low-income children and their families. Each Tuesday volunteers set up and distribute food. Shifts are available from 2-5:30 PM. This event occurs every week and approximately 4 volunteers are needed. Please contact Sandy Rechtschaffen, Social Justice Coordinator, at (415) 751-2541 x 177 or email at sandyr@emanuelsf.org to do your part.

With the ever increasing cost of food prices, people are finding it harder to make certain choices about how they spend their incomes. ABC News visited Dr. William Cobb Food Pantry on Tuesday, April 1, to interview how pantry clients are making it through these tough times. We found that having the weekly pantry available is truly helping many families make it from week to week.
