Temple Emanu-El is an architecturally historical building in the prestigious Presidio Heights area of San Francisco, two blocks from the newly created Presidio National Park. Built in 1925, the old world Mediterranean style is reflected in the tile roof, the fluted columns, and the arched entryways circling the large brick open-air courtyard. In the center of the courtyard bubbles an impressive fountain.

THE CEREMONY
The MAIN SANCTUARY is a formal, majestic space surrounded by marble columns, illuminated by light filtering through large stained glass windows and four skillfully wrought bronze chandeliers suspended from the dome.
The TEMPLE FOYER, can be used for ceremonies, and which is often also used for cocktail receptions, is a classic marble columned room featuring an arched hand-painted ceiling. One wall accesses the outdoor courtyard through a bank of double doors.
The MARTIN MEYER SANCTUARY has a more casual, natural feel and seats up to 400 people with the balcony. The colors are teal, gold, and ochre with large windows framing a treed background.
The RINDER CHAPEL is an intimate space holding up to 100 people. Its dramatic features mahogany walls and red carpet and pews.

THE CELEBRATION
The GUILD HALL BALLROOM is appropriate for dinner and dancing and receptions from 60 to 280 people, as well as for meetings. It features an optional dancing floor and riser, alabaster chandeliers, and state-of-the-art lighting system.
The COURTYARD, is available for ceremonies and receptions.
The FOYER, which is often used for cocktail receptions, is a classic marble columned room featuring an arched hand-painted ceiling. One wall accesses the outdoor courtyard through a bank of double doors.
MARTIN MEYER RECEPTION, bordering the Courtyard, is perfect for luncheons and less formal cocktail receptions in a warm, cozy atmosphere.
Included in the rental are tables, chairs, china, silverware, and glassware. Beverages and cake may be brought in with no corkage or slicing fees.
