Check out the new Adventure TK program for kids turning 5 this fall!

Our Pre-Kindergarten program is for children ages 4 to 5 years old who are preparing to enter Kindergarten. We offer a well-rounded program that includes teacher-directed curriculum and child-directed work time in both large and small groups. The focus is on activities to help prepare your child to learn in a more structured, elementary classroom environment.

Creative Movement: Our creative movement and music specialist meets with the children each week and provides them with the opportunity to explore body movement, music, and rhythmic activities in order to encourage the development of large motor skills. We do not have combined work time on these days.

Shabbat: Each Friday we have a Shabbat celebration in the Pre-Kindergarten. On specified Fridays parents are invited to join us for Visitor’s Shabbat as we light the candles, eat challah, and join in a joyous time together at the close of each week.

Share Day: Each Wednesday two children take a turn to share an item from home. It can be a toy, book, or anything that is meaningful to them. They talk about their item then the other children take turns asking them questions.

Park Days: Later in the year when the children are ready for more physical challenges than the Courtyard can provide, we walk or take the bus to local playgrounds.

12:30 - 1:00 pm     Outdoor Play
1:00 - 3:30 pm     Project work in a traditional classroom

With a low staff to child ratio of one teacher to five children, this program offers kids the chance to learn through play with a focus on social-emotional readiness for kindergarten. Our staffing team features specialists in experiential, Judaic and kindergarten education creating an exemplary team to support each child.

Through inquiry-based curriculum, children and teachers use the project approach to shape learning as children identify questions to answer and problems to solve. This is an exciting opportunity for families to join us as we bring this exciting program to the community!  Interested?  Contact:
