To receive the early bird discount, all registration, payment, and medical forms must be completed by June 1, 2013. There will be a late registration fee of $150 per student if returning families enroll after Aug 1, 2013. All families must be current in their financial obligations to the Congregation in order to enroll.

Youth and Family Education Tuition (Per Student)

Tuition already reflects early bird discounts and late fees.

* A $150 late fee per student will be applied to applications received after August 1.
*Temple Emanu-El does not charge a B'nei Mitzvah fee, as the costs are rolled into tuition. The prices you see above include all books, materials, snacks, & Hebrew classes. It also covers B’nei Mitzvah preparation meetings with the Guide Rabbi, Hebrew Reading Coach, Shabbat Exchange, and sessions with the chanting coach.
*Families who do not take advantage of our Hebrew classes do not get discounts on tuition.
*Tuition includes all expenses toward Camp Newman's 3rd-5th grade weekend November 7–9 and the 6th-8th grade weekend Feb 16-19, including transportation both ways. There will be no classes at the Temple on Sunday, November 9.

Judaic studies options

Standard Weekly Youth & Family Education*

  • Sunday  (Pre – 5th)            9:00 – 11:45 am       
  • Wednesday (1st –  5th)        4:00 – 6:30 pm (Homework Hospitality: 3:30 – 4:00 pm)

Alternative option to weekly program for 3rd – 5th grades:

  • Beyachad: Parents & Children Learn Together (This class meets 15 total times over the year. )

6th Grade Shabbaton Weekends (this is the only 6th grade option!)
Students are encouraged to attend all four Newman Shabbatons, at least 3 of the 4 are mandatory.

*All 3rd – 8th grade students are encouraged to attend the Camp Newman Retreat on November 1 – 3. There will not be YFE or Hebrew Sunday Nov 3 for the entire school.
