Join us on the second Friday of each month at 7:30 pm for Late Shabbat. If you are new to our community, come meet new people at a Welcome Reception at 7:00 pm.
So Who Are We?
The Young Adult Community (aka YAC) seeks to foster an open and supportive atmosphere for Jewish Bay Area young adults in their 20s and 30s. We are committed to providing a spiritual, educational, and social life reflecting the diversity, talents and interests of this community.
Generation Emanu-El (aka Gen E) is a brand new group that seeks to foster an open and supportive atmosphere for Jewish Bay Area adults in their 30s and 40s. We are also committed to providing a spiritual, educational, and social life reflecting the diversity, talents and interests of this community.
Enjoy Jewish life with peers through Congregation Emanu-El’s social and networking activities, cultural experiences, lively worship services, creative education programs, and unique holiday celebrations.
The cornerstone of our Young Adult Community is the Late Shabbat worship service. The reception following Late Shabbat is an ideal place for newcomers to meet other young adults as well as for members to connect and deepen their ties to community.
Congregation-based community organizing and social justice work draw the enthusiasm of many young adults. These experiences deepen understanding of and commitment to civic engagement and Jewish practice, and help develop skills that will be invaluable throughout life and career paths.
