Welcome to Temple Emanu-El's Young Adult Community website!

The Young Adult Community officially took form in October 2000, building upon the popularity and success of the monthly Late Shabbat service. A group of 13 dedicated individuals served on the first leadership committee and developed innovative ways to provide outreach to young Jews residing in the area. Today, the Temple has much to offer the 20 and 30-something-year-old Bay Area Jewish community. Whether you are new to the area or a veteran, we hope that you will consider joining us at events. Each month offers a plethora of activity options including Tikkun Olam, spiritual, educational and social interests. Attending events is a great way to meet new people, re-connect with others and, perhaps, learn a new skill!

The Young Adult Leadership Committee (YALC) is comprised of Temple members who are dedicated to ensuring that you feel welcome within the Temple walls and the larger Young Adult Community. Come introduce yourself to us at events! For your reference, we have included a biography and photograph of each committee member on this website.
