Membership at Congregation Emanu-El

Temple Emanu-El's Young Adult Community seeks to foster an open and supportive atmosphere for Jewish Bay Area young adults in their 20's and 30's. We are committed to providing a spiritual, educational, and social life reflecting the diversity, talents and interests of this community. And we seek to make membership in the community accessible to anyone who is interested, regardless of financial constraints.

Joining Congregation Emanu-El is easier than you thought!

We understand how difficult it can be when you're beginning your career. That's why your membership commitment at Congregation Emanu-El is voluntary the first fiscal year and continues to be for young adults below the age of 30.

After age 30, we merely ask that you contribute an amount that is comfortable for you. As a guideline, Congregation Emanu-El offers five membership categories, based on the number for "chai" (life.) Those levels are $180, $360, $540, $720 and over $720. All contributions are tax deductible.

Here's the important thing: no matter how much your dues are, they'll go toward building the kind of temple you want - and the kind of Jewish community you want to be part of.

Why should I join Congregation Emanu-El?
