PRE-LATE SHABBAT RECEPTION
7:00 pm
Chapel
Are you a newcomer to our community, or do you just feel like schmoozing a little before our Late Shabbat service? Come meet other young adults for a small wine and cheese reception at 7 pm in the Main Sanctuary Foyer. We'll nosh, chat, and then go into the service together at 7:30 pm. This is a great way to meet new people in an intimate environment!
Join our Young Adult Friday night Minyan We'll meet
in the cozy Ruben Rinder chapel for a Shabbat service with lay
participation in place of the clergy and sermon. Liturgy and music will
be in the Late Shabbat-style. The Minyan is meant to be led by and for
members of the Young Adult Community, and will tailor itself according
to the desires of those who attend. If you'd like to help lead (we will
provide you with all the materials and tutoring to lead your own
service!), bake Challah, bring the wine, or do something else to be a
part of things, please email us or just show up. If you just want a
no-frills get-down-to-business Friday night service before heading off
to dinner or whatever else, just show up. We'll start at 7:30, and
should be done by 8:15.
There will be no lay-led minyan in
July. The next lay-led minyan will be August 22.
Contact yacommunity@emanuelsf.org for more information and if you are interested in leading a service.
