The Late Shabbat

On the second Friday of each month, Rabbi Sydney Mintz and Marsha Attie guide worshippers through Shabbat prayers that have special significance to people in their 20s and 30s.

Their collaboration has resulted in a service that helps people feel involved - in the building of their own spirituality and their community.

The Late Shabbat begins at 7:30 on the second Friday of each month. This service is open to Jewish people in their 20s and 30s who want to connect with the Temple Emanu-El young-adult community.

A festive Oneg follows the Late Shabbat Services which includes delicious food and beer! You do not have to be a member of the Congregation to attend any of our worship services.

Late Shabbats are also preceded by a small wine and cheese welcome reception at 7 pm in the Rinder Chapel. This is a wonderful way to meet other people in a small, intimate setting. Newcomers to the community are encouraged to attend!
