Torah on Tap: Jews, Justice, and Fighting Racism
Jun 16 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

In light of recent events, we are dedicating our first Torah on Tap session to learning about Jewish ideas of racial justice. Grab your beverage of choice (kombucha, beer, or whatever floats your boat!) and join Emanu-El’s Young Adult Community for a deep discussion guided by Rabbi Rodich. Each month we will dive into different topics — this month, we will discuss Jews, Justice, and Fighting Racism.

This is a program for the Young Adult Community (20s & 30s).

Jews of Color Virtual Gathering
Jun 18 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Congregant Kristin Eriko Posner and board member Paula Pretlow invite Emanu-El members who identify as Jews of Color to join them to meet each other, share stories, and explore the needs and hopes of our community. We acknowledge that while this need has always existed, it has been magnified recently within our Jewish community and in the broader society at large. Emanu-El is committed to ensuring safety, equity, and justice within our community and in the wider Jewish community.

While we are grateful for the interest of supporters and advocates, this initial gathering is specifically for Jews of Color, with the intention to create a safe space to share our thoughts and engage in conversation.
