HHD 2021 – Apples & Honey: Rosh HaShanah Service (Children)
Sep 7 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am

Join Rabbi Sarah Joselow Parris and Jonathan Bayer for outdoor children's services and activities from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Presidio Wall (Julius Kahn park)! Stop by for a bit or stay a while with a blanket and enjoy celebrating Rosh HaShanah together with other young families. 

We will have some activities to share that you can enjoy with your family pod. At 10:15 am there will be a musical children's service and story time (aimed at children ages 4-7). 

This service is open to members and the entire community. Registration is required.

Join us in-person for Opening The Gates: Rosh HaShanah Morning Service 1 – from 10:00 am – 11:30 am! We will combine the grandeur and majesty of the Early (classic) Service, with the warmth and intimacy of the Late (contemporary) Service. Service led by Rabbi Jonathan Singer and Rabbi Jason Rodich. Sermon by Rabbi Sydney Mintz.

*This service will be in person for members, as well as livestreamed for the community.

New Year, New Me: Judaism’s Take on Renewal and New Beginnings

The Mishnah teaches us that there are four new years and that Rosh Hashanah is but one of them. As we enter the 10 days of reflection and repentance, join with Rabbi Sarah Joselow Parris to reflect and learn together about Judaism’s wisdom about renewal and new spiritual beginnings.

*This learning session is open to entire community.

HHD 2021 – Tashlich: Letting Go Together – Service & Concert

After a year of isolation, we can finally all come together in a safe outdoor event with our cantors and musicians in joyous song and Rosh HaShanah celebration. As instructed by the Prophet Micah, we'll cast bread on the water and bid goodbye (and good riddance) to this past year.

Bring the family, bring a blanket or beach chairs and some snacks and breadcrumbs. Dress in layers. Sing along.

HHD 2021 – Rosh HaShanah Second Day Service (9/8/2021)
Sep 8 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Cantor Arik Luck and musicians, along with Rabbis Jonathan Singer and Ryan Bauer, will lead a full-length, eclectic traditional style Reform Rosh HaShanah service. Sermon by Rabbinic Intern, Leo Fuchs. The music will draw upon multiple genres, including the master composers of the old world, Eastern European chazzanut, Emanu-El commissioned music from nearly 100 years ago, as well as newer, elevated melodies. 

*This service will be in person for members, as well as livestreamed for the community.
