Tot Shabbat – (9/2/2022)

ALL kids 6 and under, their adults and older siblings are welcome, free of charge. We’ll start with a simple kid’s dinner & teen-led activities at 5:00 pm in our beautiful courtyard. Then, join us in the Martin Meyer Sanctuary for a fun and community building 30-minute service from 5:30 6:00 pm.

You don’t need to be an Emanu-El member, know Hebrew, understand Shabbat, or be familiar with synagogues. Just come with your kids and have a good time, we’ll teach you the rest.

Registration required, preferably in advance but, if unable to register, please come and we will take your information at the gate.  

To best ensure we can provide a safe and sacred experience, please note the following: 

  • Advance registration is required. If for any reason you are not able to register in advance, you are still welcome to attend and we will take care of registration at the gate.
  • Please have your proof of vaccination and ID ready before approaching the front gate at Emanu-El. All individuals ages 5+ must show proof of vaccination. All ineligible for vaccination must provide proof of negative Covid test within 24 hours of the event.
  • Masking is voluntary.
  • Please review our COVID-19 on-site event protocols so you’ll know what to expect. We're so excited to welcome you back into our beautiful sanctuary.

Join us for In-Person Friday Night Elul Shabbat Services this Friday, September 2nd at 6:00 pm!

Led by Rabbi Jason Rodich with Cantor Marsha Attie.

For the month of Elul we are using a special prayerbook.

To best ensure we can provide a safe and sacred experience, please note the following: 

  • Advance registration is required. If for any reason you are not able to register in advance, you are still welcome to attend and we will take care of registration at the gate.
  • Please have your proof of vaccination and ID ready before approaching the front gate at Emanu-El. All individuals ages 5+ must show proof of vaccination. All ineligible for vaccination must provide proof of negative Covid test within 72 hours of the event.
  • Masks are required for services taking place, indoors, at Emanu-El. During services and lifecycle events, all those on the bimah may unmask.
  • Masks are not required for outdoor events, including the courtyard.

Our services will also continue to be held virtually, on our Livestream page and Facebook Live.

September Late Shabbat

Join Jewish young adults from around the Bay for Congregation Emanu-El's Late Shabbat!  

A festive evening of community-building, spiritual connection, and incredible music. 

Schmoozing and wine start at 8pm / services begin at 8:30pm / oneg with tacos, drinks, and music follows at 9:45pm until 11:00 pm. 

If you are looking to connect with other 20s & 30s in the Bay Area Jewish community, this is the place for you! 

Bring your mask, your vax card, and your best friends. 

COVID safety precautions & requirements for attending

  • Advance registration is required. 
  • At this time, masks are required for services taking place indoors at Emanu-ElMasks are not required for outdoor events, including in the courtyard.
  • Full-vaccination, for those who are eligible, are required for ALL Emanu-El events. Please have your proof of vaccination and ID ready before approaching the front gate.
  • For those who are ineligible for vaccination, we are accepting PCR or rapid test results.
  • All clergy have been vaccinated and are routinely tested.
  • No food or drink inside.
  • Please note that this is an event for Young Adults in their 20s and 30s.
