Join Emanu-El clergy to learn about the breadth and wonder of Jewish tradition. This class is a pathway for the adult learner who wishes to discover or deepen Jewish knowledge, non-Jews who are marrying a Jewish partner, and those who are considering conversion to Judaism. Participants register for each trimester separately.
We are offering a weekly morning minyan for our community to say kaddish together. Join our sacred ‘zoom room’ to be with each other and create space for memory. Click here to navigate to our weekly morning minyan page, which hosts the latest Zoom link.
Join us for Virtual Friday Night Shabbat Services this Friday, January 7th, at 6:00 pm! Please note, in response to the rapidly growing spread of Omicron, we are suspending in-person worship for the next few weeks. Livestream our Shabbat Services on our website at emanuelsf.org/live or on Facebook Live at facebook.com/congregationemanuel.
Led by Rabbi Beth Singer and Cantor Marsha Attie in the Main Sanctuary. Featuring special guest speaker, Manny Yekutiel. Manny will share a recent personal experience that has caused him much reflection.
Manny Yekutiel founded Manny's — a community focused meeting and learning place in the heart of San Francisco that combines a non-profit restaurant, political bookshop and civic events and gathering space — in 2016. Manny's has become a cornerstone of the community, and we are excited to welcome Manny to speak during Shabbat.
- Due to the rapid surge in Omicron, please note that Shabbat Services will be held virtually only.

Gentlemen of the El,
The first Men’s Group gathering of 2022 is scheduled for 9:30 am – 11:00 am on Sunday, January 9th. Due to the rapid spread of Omicron, the January Men’s Group will meet virtually. We welcome you to a Men’s Coffee Talk with Rabbi Jonathan Singer where we will share how we, as male-identifying adults, navigate disagreements in our families around vaccines, politics, meeting in-person, etc.
L’shalom,
Rabbi Jonathan

In response to the rapidly growing spread of Omicron, we are suspending in-person Friday night worship for the next few weeks, including for the MLK Pulpit Exchange at both Emanu-El and Third Baptist Church. Our medical advisors have recommended this course with the hope that we will be able to gather again soon to welcome in Shabbat as a community.
The MLK Pulpit Exchange is an integral part of our community partnership with Third Baptist Church, and we look forward to hosting it each year. We know that the last few years have been challenging for all of us and we’ve had to be flexible. While we look forward to the day we can host this event in person again, we do hope that you will join us virtually for what is sure to be a beautiful service with Rev. Amos Brown on Friday night.
Learn more about the weekend here.
All ages welcome!
