HHD 2022 – Apples & Honey: Rosh HaShanah Service (Children)
Sep 26 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am

Join Rabbis Sarah Joselow Parris and Ryan Bauer, and Rabbinic Intern Leo Fuchs, along with Jonathan Bayer for outdoor children's services and activities from 10:00 am – 11:30 am at Presidio Wall Playground! Stop by for a bit or stay a while with a blanket and enjoy celebrating Rosh HaShanah together with other young families. 

We will have some activities to share that you can enjoy with your family pod. At 10:15 am there will be a musical children's service and story time (aimed at children ages 4-7).

Join our Cantors and Musicians for a Concert and Sunset Service

Non-alcoholic beverages | An empty bag to help with beach clean up after the concert. 

Very limited parking. Preference given to ADA with placard.

HHD 2022 – Rosh HaShanah Second Day Service (9/27/2022)
Sep 27 @ 10:00 am – 12:15 pm

Cantor Arik Luck and musicians, along with Rabbis Ryan Bauer, Jonathan Singer and Rabbinic Intern, Leo Fuchs, will lead a full-length, eclectic traditional style Reform Rosh HaShanah service. Sermon by Rabbinic Intern, Leo Fuchs. The music will draw upon multiple genres, including the master composers of the old world, Eastern European chazzanut, Emanu-El commissioned music from nearly 100 years ago, as well as newer, elevated melodies.

Shabbat Shuvah Service

Join us for In-Person Shabbat Shuvah this Friday, September 30th at 6:00 pm!

Led by Rabbis Beth Singer and Sarah Joselow Parris with Cantor Arik Luck. The sermon will be given by Rabbi Lawrence Kushner.

To best ensure we can provide a safe and sacred experience, please note the following: 

  • Advance registration is required. If for any reason you are not able to register in advance, you are still welcome to attend and we will take care of registration at the gate.
  • Full vaccination status is required for those eligible when participating in our programs (including booster for those eligible). Consistent with city, state, CDC and other public health authority guidance, COVID-19 vaccines are the most important and effective tool in preventing COVID-19 disease, especially severe illness and death.
  • Masking is optional at all services and events taking place inside Emanu-El or for outdoor events, including in the courtyard
  • For those ineligible for vaccination, testing is required within 24 hours of the event (rapid antigen or PCR).
  • Although masks are not required, we understand that many people will continue to mask for a variety of reasons. We fully support those who choose to mask and invite all in our community to act in a spirit of non-judgmental kindness as we navigate this landscape together.
  • Please review our COVID-19 on-site event protocols.
  • We, along with our COVID-19 Advisory Team, will continue to monitor case rates in San Francisco and other important factors and respond to the changing circumstances accordingly.
  • Our services will continue to be held virtually, on our Livestream page and Facebook Live.
