For over two years, every Sunday night Emanu-El congregants have provided dinner for the youth living at G-House (a transitional home for youth experiencing homelessness run by Larkin Street Youth Services), by bringing food and then breaking bread together. While these dinners at G-House have been cancelled due to social distancing, we still need your help supporting the youth living there.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Emanu-El volunteers are continuing to do this mitzvah by ordering a Sunday night meals (a lot of pizza!) from local restaurants and having it them delivered to G-House. These dinners are very meaningful, as each dinner we give lets the youth know that our Emanu-El community continues to care for them despite the current challenges.
We look forward to resuming these in person dinners at G-House when it is safe for all.
Please sign up here to sponsor a Sunday evening dinner and for more details!

Join fellow teen and tween members of multi-racial and multi-ethnic families at Emanu-El in a Zoom gathering on Tuesday July 14th from 4-5pm to meet one another, share stories, and build a community to support each other. This initial gathering will be hosted by Sarah Starks, a fellow young adult member of congregation Emanu-El.
Join fellow members of Emanu-El from multi-racial and multi-ethnic families in a Zoom gathering to meet one another, share stories, and build a community to support each other through the complexities of the world around us right now. Emanu-El wants to create a safe, protected space for our families to share experiences, concerns and the desire to learn more.
On Tuesday July 14th we will be convening two gatherings for members of multi-racial and multi-ethnic families — one open gathering and one especially for teens and tweens. Please join us for either or both of these gatherings!
This initial gathering will be hosted by congregants, Toni Barba-Salan, Cantor Marsha Attie, and Tori and Sarah Starks.
