Participate in this mitzvah led by congregant and former restaurant owner Gail Laghi, and congregant and chef Sari Swig. Gail and Sari have volunteered to run a two-hour cooking session with up to six congregant volunteers to make meals for congregants in need, either facing a recent illness, death, or birth. All congregants are welcome to join. Menu, ingredients, and storage containers are provided.
Occurring monthly on Mondays
10:00 am – noon, Congregation Emanu-El
June 18, 2018- Room 53
Join a friendly group that meets monthly to share stories on assigned themes such as: “Your Relationship with Israel,” “Treasured Objects” or “Your Greatest Accomplishments.” No writing skill is necessary since it’s more about the story. This is a great opportunity for self-reflection, starting your memoir, and getting to know other warm and wonderful synagogue members. Facilitated by member Nancy Alpert, LCSW.
New participants are always welcome! To register contact Rebecca Reiner.
