No charge and no RSVP required for Shabbat service.

Dinners for Families

Update April 1, 2020 – Due to the current COVID-19 closure, Simchat Shabbat Dinners have been suspended until further notice.

Simchat Shabbat Dinner

A festive community Shabbat dinner on the first Friday of the month, following the 5:30 pm service.
The cost is $20 for member adults, $10 for children 3 – 10, FREE for children under 3. RSVP for dinner early so that we know how much food to order. The deadline is the Thursday immediately preceding the dinner.

Register now for the dinner.

Side By Side

Update April 30 – Due to the current COVID-19 closure, there will not be a new Side-by-Side session starting this month. Instead, we are offering Mimi’s baby groups via Zoom every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11 am. We invite you to join us for any and all of these sessions.

While these online offerings will be free for all participants, we invite you to make a direct donation to our early education programs at Emanu-El in lieu of your Side by Side tuition to continue supporting our early education programming. To do so, please select ‘Emanu-El Preschool Fund’ from the dropdown menu. Thank you for your consideration!

Two sessions per week for 8 weeks (16 total sessions)
Tuesdays and Thursdays at Congregation Emanu-El
Register now for the Winter 2019/2020 session beginning December 12!

Member price: $360/Non-Member price: $485

Emanu-El’s Side by Side program introduces our youngest children (18 months to 2.5 years) to a preschool environment with their parent or caregiver by their side. Our Side by Side program is rich in Jewish content, celebrating Jewish traditions and holidays. This program will be a wonderful introduction to preschool that will deepen relationships in our community and launch a meaningful beginning to the school experience for both parents and children.

Contact Katie Saleh, Administrative Coordinator, via email with any questions at KSaleh@emanuelsf.org to register.

Baby Groups Available!

Update April 1, 2020 – Mimi’s Music and Fun Group  has now moved online until further notice.
