Position Title: Engagement Program Manager
Reports to: Senior Director of Membership and Engagement Operations
Status: Full Time, Exempt

We are searching for a relationship-oriented engagement professional to work with clergy and the Senior Director of Membership and Engagement Operations (SD) to manage and execute a variety of congregational engagement events, programs, small group initiatives and social justice opportunities. This person will collaborate with clergy, volunteers, educators, outside partners and other staff to produce experiences aimed at bringing congregants a deeper experience of Judaism outside of regular worship services and build connections between members.
What You’ll Do (Essential Functions):
- Manage relational groups and committees, such as in the social justice, young adult and small group areas, and manage volunteers; set priorities for outreach efforts and ensure priorities are met
- In partnership with clergy, plan and manage meaningful member engagement opportunities at Jewish holidays and other special events
- Develop relationships with members, helping to define their interests, foster connections, and place them in leadership roles within the Temple community in collaboration with the SD and Director of Member Experience
- Oversee program logistics, including event coordination and communications, post program follow-up and related publicity
- Develop and track program and relationship-building metrics to track programmatic success and inform decision-making around future program planning
- Evaluate programs to ensure they meet congregant needs and Temple mission
- Manage Engagement Budget, two Engagement staff and department workflow

- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years’ relevant work experience in a role serving members, the public, and other stakeholders; experience in Jewish or other communal or cultural institutional settings preferred.
- Experience in program creation, implementation, and project management
- Technology: High level of computer literacy required (we use Microsoft 365): proven ability to quickly learn new software. Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook.
- Flexibility to work some evenings and occasional weekends
