Congregant Security Training
301 14th Ave, San Francisco, California
94118
Congregant security training with our partners, the Jewish Community Federation and Secure Community Network (SCN).
Emanu-El takes a proactive approach to security. Part of this approach has been to provide regular training to our own staff. We also want to enlist our community as partners making each of us safer. That is why we are inviting you to a security training program run by The Federation’s Director of Community Security, Rafi Brinner, hosted at Congregation Beth Sholom. Rafi has brought Stuart Frisch, SCN’s National Training and Exercise Advisor, to the Bay Area to train members of our community in life skills that are critical for making good decisions in stressful situations.
Stuart provided the training that Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker credited with enabling him and his congregants to escape from the hostage situation at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, Texas.
The two-hour training will cover how to navigate difficult interactions and counter active threats. This training will not be recorded, so we look forward to welcoming you to this in-person event. This session will be held at Congregation Beth Sholom, and Emanu-El will conduct a similar community training at our synagogue later this year. We strongly encourage our members to attend this program.
