Art w/ Ava: Journal Making (Young Adult Program)
As part of Lag B'Omer, Jews, particularly in Israel, light bonfires just like our ancestors did at the temple altar. This holiday is a moment of celebration in a time of mourning, a moment of light in the darkness. This Lag B'Omer, we invite you to make your own journal, along with Ava, which can be a tool for self-reflection and for igniting your creative spark in the coming weeks.
Ava Rosen is a Jewish artist, educator, and organizer in San Francisco. She facilitates art with Emanu-El's Youth and Family Education program, runs a shared art space/print studio in the Bayview neighborhood called Open Windows Cooperative, and plays in a local band.
An email with Zoom info as well as necessary supplies will be sent out closer to the event date.
This is a program for Congregation Emanu-El's Young Adult Community (20's & 30's).
