Fabulous Texts from our Tradition with Rabbi Jason Rodich

Dates: Nov 10 and 17, 12:00 – 12:55 PM on Zoom.

Join Rabbi Rodich over lunch via Zoom for two 55 minute sessions of learning that you can do in the middle of your day! Over these sessions, we will take a look at few gems that are Rabbi Rodich’s favorites. You don’t need to know anything or prepare anything or pay anything. Just come and learn, no pressure, and hopefully, a little fun.

In the first session, we will study ideas about redemption in Judaism. In other words, what does Judaism have to say about transforming the unbearable and painful into hope and possibility? Does God save us?

In the second session, we will learn a little bit about Jewish mystical ideas and more from a cat. Really. We will read excerpts from the recently published wonderful book by Rabbi Rachel Adler, Phd, Tales of the Holy Mysticat. Rabbi Adler was Rabbi Rodich’s thesis advisor, and despite his terrible feline allergies, he had the great honor of meeting the Holy Mysticat while working on said thesis.
