Memories Project
2 Lake Street, San Francisco, CA
94118
As Temple Emanu-El prepares to embark on an exciting architectural journey and once-in-a-century makeover of our beloved building, we would love to hear, see, and collect your memories of the spaces that are soon to be transformed.
Congregant, former employee, and volunteer temple historian Judi Leff is asking for your help: Do you have memories of events and special times in the courtyard? Do you have photos or video of the little ones playing? Would you like to write a poem, or a short memoir related to the courtyard space?
Via Email: We welcome your video, photo, and written submission to this special email, [email protected].
In-Person Saturday, May 13: Additionally, Judi will be conducting short video and audio interviews to collect your memories and impressions of the courtyard space, on Saturday May 13th from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, at Temple Emanu-El. You can also drop off written or visual memories on that day.
Zoom Interview May 13: Can’t make it in person? Please write to [email protected] so Judi can schedule a Zoom interview with you on May 13.
Via Voicemail: Or you can leave a voicemail message with your recollections and impressions on our special Memories Preservation Project phone line:
- During regular business hours, call 415.751.2535, ext. 198.
- After hours, call 415.751.2535 and press option “7.”
