Neighorhood Havdalah March 2018
Emanu-El congregants in the Inner Sunset, Outer Sunset, West Portal, and Glen Park are coming together for a Neighborhood Havdalah on Saturday, March 10 at 6:30 PM and we hope you can join us!
"Remember the Sabbath day to sanctify it," says the fourth of ten commandments. And Emanu-El in your Neighborhood plans to do just that as it ushers in the new week at the close of Shabbat. Join together with Emanu-El clergy and your neighbors for an intimate Havdalah experience. Havdalah is layered with blessings and symbols; wine is for taste; the spices are for smell; the candle is for sight; the blessings are spoken, sung, and heard. What better way to celebrate than with a neighborhood gathering potluck. Children are welcome!
