In the spirit of Passover, Rabbi Beth Singer will lead a Book Club discussion connecting biblical Hebrew enslavement with slavery that is happening right now. We’ll use Amelia Pang’s book, MADE IN CHINA: A Prisoner, an SOS Letter, and the Hidden Cost of America’s Cheap Goods as a starting point, to discuss themes relevant to Passover, and what we can do to address these modern-day plagues.

 

The book club is being offered twice to accommodate different schedules; please sign up for one but not both. Consider supporting a local bookstore when purchasing this book. Alternatively, it can be purchased online through www.bookshop.org.
