Eger in conversation with Rabbi Jason Rodich during One Shabbat with Cantor Marsha Attie. Click here to participate via Facebook Live, our preferred platform – you don't have to join Facebook to participate. For alternative access via livestream, click here. In lieu of a traditional sermon, Rabbi Rodich will engage in a “fireside chat” during the service, including discussion of Rabbi Eger’s newest book, Mishkan Ga’avah: Where Pride DwellsThis groundbreaking collection of LGBTQ prayers, poems, liturgy, and rituals is both a spiritual resource and a celebratory affirmation of Jewish diversity.

Rabbi Eger is the founding Rabbi of Congregation Kol Ami, in West Hollywood, CA. She is past president of the Central Conference of American Rabbis, the international organization of more than 2,300 Reform Rabbis. She served as the first openly gay or lesbian person in that position. She also was the first woman ever elected as President of the Southern California Board of Rabbis, which includes Reform, Conservative, Reconstructionist, and Orthodox Rabbis.
