Shvitz & Kibitz: A Rich Jewish Tradition – YA, March 2017
748 Innes Avenue, San Francisco, CA
Come experience the joys of the sauna by steaming with your friends in San Francisco's premier Russian bathhouse. The banya, Russian for sauna, has long been a cornerstone of eastern European and Jewish social life where members of the community gather to re'jew'venate and share the news and gossip of the day. We will connect with that history while re-contextualizing it within our busy young-adult lives.
Physically, the steam is deeply cleansing and purifying while awakening the body and quieting the mind.
Your fee is $35 per person. You will receive the exact address when your registration is confirmed.
Registration is required. If this event reaches capacity, please reach out to Valerie Bishop to be added to the waitlist.
