Tzedek Council brings Passover to Hamilton Families
This Passover, The Tzedek Council is partnering with Hamilton’s Families Children & Youth Services team to create an authentic and warm Passover experience for 70 babies/toddlers/kids in their transitional housing and shelter program.
On April 15, a small group of congregants will lead an afterschool program where the children will have an opportunity to learn about Passover, taste matzo, haroset, macaroons and other delicious Passover foods and listen to the Passover story. We will also lead arts and craft projects while listening to some traditional Passover songs.
Each of the 70 children in the program will receive an educational packet that includes a build your own seder plate activity, a variety of art supplies and a small gift, either a frog toy, finger puppet or Starbucks gift certificate. We have selected different age appropriate items for kids ranging from baby to teen.
If you would like to sponsor one of these educational/gift packages for Passover, you can make a donation of $15 that will be used to purchase the art supplies and small gift. If you would like to sponsor more than one Hamilton child, please use the guest ticket fields to add increments of $15 to your sponsorship.
With gratitude,
Elyse Salven-Blatt & Guillemette Spiegel on Behalf of the Tzedek Council.
