Tour the Tenderloin with the Men’s Group
Join the Men’s Group for this unique 90 minute tour of San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood led by the Mayor of the Tenderloin, Del Seymour, formerly one of the biggest drug dealers in the Tenderloin. Del turned his life around and started a very effective nonprofit, Code Tenderloin, which gets techies from nearby tech companies to train homeless residents in the Tenderloin how to write code and use computers. Del then teaches these “students” how to draft resumes and interview for jobs. He then goes back to the tech companies and implores them to hire the graduates of his program. In that way, Del has gotten dozens of homeless people jobs and saved many lives. Del supports Code Tenderloin by giving tours. He is on the Mayor’s Committee on Homelessness and the Board of Directors of St. Anthony’s and is an extraordinary person. It will be an amazing experience that will include seeing the finest sculpture garden in the city, as well stopping by St. Anthony’s dining hall. Afterwards, enjoy a brunch at an excellent nearby restaurant.
