A lecture by Professor David N. Myers
Congregation Emanu-El is pleased to welcome Professor David N. Myers,
President of the Board of the New Israel Fund and renowned professor of Jewish history. Professor Myers will explore the present and future landscape of Israel after this year’s double elections and in light of key historical trends over the past 50 years.
David Myers, NIF’s Board President, is the Sady and Ludwig Kahn Professor of Jewish History at UCLA and the director of the UCLA Luskin Center for History and Policy. An alumnus of Yale (1982), Myers undertook graduate studies at Tel-Aviv and Harvard Universities before receiving his Ph.D. with distinction in 1991 in Jewish history from Columbia University. He is the author or editor of fifteen books in Jewish history.
