GIFT PROCESSING COORDINATOR

Congregation Emanu-El seeks a motivated and skilled database and development professional to join the Development Department. The Gift Processing Coordinator will support the fundraising team by maintaining the donor database, accurately processing and recording gift information, preparing acknowledgement letters, reporting, and special projects. This position works closely with the Development Director, Development Associate, Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant, and will be communicating with members of CEE’s Board of Directors, the Executive Director, clergy and congregants.
Database:
• Maintain, manage and process all donations made to Congregational Emanu-El;
• Generate acknowledgment letters and notifications, and review, correct and customize each letter as necessary;
• Run reports and extract information from Salesforce for mailings, meetings, and data analysis;
• Maintain database integrity by accurately entering contributions and tracking donor information;
• Work with Accounting Department to reconcile contributions and to ensure that accounting standards are met;
• Assist Development Associate with database updates and donor-prospect research
Communications:
• Ensure online and in print donation pages are current, contain optimal messaging, and are visually appealing within design constraints and are effectively targeting constituents;
• Produce the Donor Report for newsletter
Additional support:
• Serve as staff support and Development liaison for Development-lead programs;
• Provide support for special events ‘hosted’ by the Development Department;
• Communicate with vendors, contractors, staff, speakers, hosts, and trustees as appropriate and serve as liaison between involved parties;
• Coordinate post-event evaluation process. Recommend improvements or modifications
Qualifications:
• A minimum of two years’ experience in a development, accounting, or administrative support position (event planning, sales, marketing, non-profit setting a plus);
• Strong computer skills: Salesforce, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc;
• Attention to detail and written and oral communication skills;
• Ability to liaise comfortably with a wide array of individuals, from staff to donors and board members
