To nurture the next generation of Jewish and global citizens as they become the caretakers of our planet, our community and each other.
Our vision is to become a model Jewish preschool that exemplifies contemporary best practices in the field of Early Childhood Education where teachers, children and parents experience transformative learning, and where other educators come to learn.
We use an inquiry-based approach to learning where teachers and children co-construct curriculum that is grounded in Jewish culture and traditions while interweaving developmentally appropriate curriculum in the areas of math, science, arts, music, social-emotional development, gross and fine motor skills as well as language and literacy. Teacher research and pedagogical documentation are central to our work as are responsive and reflective teaching practices.
Our choices about fostering children’s learning are guided by the Jewish values of:

Wonder/Radical Amazement: “Our goal should be to live life in radical amazement. ….get up in the morning and look at the world in a way that takes nothing for granted. Everything is phenomenal; everything is incredible; never treat life casually. To be spiritual is to be amazed.” Rabbi Joshua Heschel
