Are you sick of online dating? Are you having conversations on dating apps, but then never meeting in-person? Are people’s online profiles misleading? Look no further! The Yentas from the Young Adult Community at Congregation Emanu-El are here to help you throw-back to old-school dating (i.e. Fiddler on the Roof style, but with less singing). Here’s how it works: We have created a short questionnaire (The Yentas – Profile) for you to fill out by Sunday, March 25.
Once we have received the forms, we will review them, and you will get an email with your match’s name and phone number. We will let you take it from there. As we said, we want you to take this off-line! So, instead of weeks of flirty texts, we encourage you to just pick up the phone (yes, call not text), pick a date and time, and meet in person to get to know each other in person (what’s the worst that could happen?? A good story to tell your friends about!).
We will do our best to find everyone a match!

How we want to die – represents the most important and costly conversation America isn’t having. We have gathered dozens of medical and wellness leaders to cast an unflinching eye at end of life, and we have created an uplifting interactive adventure that transforms this seemingly difficult conversation into one of deep engagement, insight and empowerment. We invite you to gather friends and family and fill a table.
Join us on Friday night April 13th before the Late Shabbat as we delve into the important questions that so often we try to get away from or not even ask. We will gather for dinner and a guided conversation to ask and answer these most important questions.
Friday, April 13, 7:30-8:30 pm
Come relax into Shabbat with Congregation Emanu-El’s new young adult meditation group from 7:30-8:30 pm right before April Late Shabbat! Join us for a short guided meditation and a chance to connect and engage in a mindful discussion afterwards. We will meet in classroom 56. Together, we will all head to Late Shabbat services after the meditation session.

Front Porch: A Special Opportunity for Members of Emanu-El
Are you looking to take a deep dive and really build meaningful relationships with other young adults in our community? We invite you to join Front Porch.
Through this innovative program we are matching young adults in groups and providing short videos and discussion materials to guide the relationship building. We want the groups to get together for six home hosted sessions over the course of six months. We have a box of materials for each group with all of the supplies you will need—video links, session agendas, handouts and discussion questions. The six topics are: sacred space, sacred time, social justice, money, legacy, and community. Check out this video to learn more.
This program happens twice a year, stay tuned for our next dates
Six consecutive Tuesdays, 7:00 – 9:00 pm
