San Francisco Pride Parade 2017

For the fourth year in a row, Congregation Emanu-El will join the URJ San Francisco Bay Area Community to march together in the San Francisco Pride Parade, Sunday, June 25, 2017. Reform Jews from across the Bay Area will march together as one united group to show our solidarity with the Pride movement, proclaim our support of civil and human rights, and demonstrate our own strength in numbers.
Join us as we will stand together as one Reform Jewish Community!

The Aleph Men: A Night of Jewish Stand Up Comedy

This night showcases diverse backgrounds, personalities, perspectives, and talents. Join us as we here at Congregation Emanu-El host the national debut of The Aleph Men!

Late Shababt is always on the second Friday of the month at Congregation Emanu-El
Our young adult community is warmly invited to experience one of the most popular young Jewish events in the Bay Area. No registration necessary, just show up! Accompany hundreds of young adults for a bewitchingly divine contemporary service led by one of the members of our clergy: Rabbi Sydney Mintz, Rabbi Jason Rodich, and Cantor Marsha Attie, along with the sensational Eric Schoen and Jonathan Ferris. All of the splendor is followed by a lively Oneg featuring schmoozing, snacks and spirits.
Come early to mingle and meet new people before the service for our intimate wine and cheese Welcome Reception at 8:00 pm.

Congregation Emanu-El’s Young Adult Community’s Access: Shabbat offers young adult participants an intimate Shabbat dinner at a private residence of a young adult community member. A main dish will be provided, guests are asked to bring either an appetizer, drink, or dessert. Event organizer will contact you the week of the event with further details. Space is limited!

Starring Zosia Mamet of GIRLS, this romantic comedy follows awkwardly elegant Diana, an aspiring writer looking for her dream apartment in NYC after a three year stint in London. Settling in her new place, it’s as if she has a fresh new life — until one night she discovers that her ex-boyfriend is her downstairs neighbor. Jewish Heritage Night with the San Francisco Giants
Augst 21, 2017, Game starts at 7:15 pm, with pre-party starting at 5:00 pm.
Join the Bay Area’s Jewish community at the Giants annual Jewish Heritage Night at AT&T Park! You are invited to bring your family and friends, or even your entire congregation! Your Special Event ticket package includes a seat in one of the Jewish Heritage sections for the game versus the Brewers, a collector’s-edition Jewish-themed Giants item, as well as admission to the Jewish Heritage Night pregame party from 5:00-7:00PM in Lot A! Live cultural entertainment will take place at the pre-game party, and cultural food and drink specials will be available for purchase.
Congregation Emanu-El’s seats are in View Reserve 326, which are located above the third base line with prime views. These tickets retail for up to double the price you’ll pay with us!

Germany Close Up
We are excited to share the great news that the Emanu-El Young Adult Community is going to be an official partner of Germany Close Up in November of this year! This means that 25 young adults from our community will travel together for an eight day experience in Germany and we’re hoping you will apply to be one of them.
Trip date: November 5th –12th, 2017

Chuppah and Beyond
Maintaining Intimacy: Lessons from Successful Marriages
Cost: $150 congregant/$250 non-congregant couple
Are you an engaged or newly married couple? Then this series is meant for you. The Chuppah and Beyond helps participants cultivate the foundational tools for a successful life together while simultaneously building a community of peers. Emanu-El co-facilitates each class along with Yael Melamed, psychotherapist and relationship expert.
