September Late Shabbat with Reboot
Friday, September 8, 2017
Welcome Reception, 8:00 pm
Late Shabbat Service, 8:30 pm
Late Shababt is always on the second Friday of the month at Congregation Emanu-El
You are warmly invited to experience one of the most popular young Jewish events in the Bay Area. Come as you are, no registration necessary, just show up! Accompany hundreds of young adults for a contemporary service led by members of our clergy accompanied by Eric Schoen and Jonathan Ferris. All of the splendor is followed by an oneg featuring schmoozing, snacks and spirits.
Come early to mingle and meet new people before the service for our intimate wine and cheese Welcome Reception at 8:00 pm.
We are partnering with Reboot for September’s Late Shabbat and featuring Rebbot’s 10Q project. The ten days between the Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur offer a perfect period of time for personal reflection. Reboot’s 10Q project (www.doyou10Q.com) offers people of all ages–religious or not, Jewish or not, introspective or not–an opportunity to reflect through an online series of questions, one a day over the ten days in between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Answers are emailed to a secure online vault just after Yom Kippur. Then next year, just before Rosh Hashanah starts, answers are sent back to participants for reflection and the whole process begins again.
Reboot invites you to do your 10Q this year. Start here:http://www.doyou10q.com/
